GEO-PHYSICAL SIGNS OF THE "NEW ERA"

Claims that the world is entering a new cosmic era may be verified by many strange things which seem to be happening to our earth. Facts on the subject are scarce. Scientists and government authorities are unwilling to admit that there is anything unusual. Any data which would indicate otherwise are rejected as "erroneous". But it is suggested that all BSR Associates keep their eyes and ears open for facts confirming the possible trends mentioned.
(1) There was a report several months ago, apparently quickly suppressed, that a scientist had detected an increase in the frequency (or vibratory rate) of the cosmic rays. This, if verified, would confirm the claim that our solar system is entering an area of higher vibrations, and that this earth and everything on it is gradually rising to a slightly higher plane. If this is true, it might explain the apparent increase in psychic phenomena. It may be that the general range of perception is higher, and that people can now see things which were beyond their reach before.
(2) When a hollow sphere, or approximate sphere, of electrical conducting material is rotated, it will create a magnetic field. A dynamo, or generator, works on this principle, its coils of wire forming an elongated hollow sphere. The earth acts in the same manner, as a nature generator. The focii of such a rotating field, known as the North and South Poles, will be on the axes of rotation. Connecting the two poles will be an infinite number of magnetic meridians or lines of force, running in a straight line from one pole to the other, above the surface of the object.
The earth, however, does not exactly follow the natural laws in all respects. Its North Magnetic Pole is officially listed as being off the northern coast of Canada, about 40 degrees south of the Geographic Pole, or axis of rotation. The magnetic meridians, instead of running straight from one pole to the other, meander widely. Variations of 45 degrees east or west of a straight line exist at some places. Both of these indicate some electrical unbalance in the earth, but no one ever seemed to do any official worrying about it. They merely recorded the variation at different places, and published tables of magnetic declinations, so that surveyors could make the necessary corrections in their compass readings.
Five or six years ago one observer reported that the magnetic pole had shifted northward, and was then only about 20 degrees south of the geographic pole. A more recent report placed the magnetic pole only about 5 degrees away, and apparently still moving northward. About the same time, a few surveyor friends told me that the Declination Tables were no longer correct, and that they had to "shoot the sun" to get the correct direction. This would indicate that the magnetic meridians are [16] also straightening out, and that the unknown disturbing force which previously existed is diminishing.
Just what will happen when, and if, the magnetic pole assumes its correct position is a matter of speculation. It might "lock in" very quietly and unnoticed. On the other hand, judging by the behavior of various man-made electrical apparatus, it might cause some heavy surges, resulting in severe electrical storms.
(3) The earth is quite definitely warming up, despite weather bureau statistics attempting to prove that everything is "normal". The winters here in Ohio are getting more "open" every year, and reports from other parts of the U.S. tell the same story. Glaciers in Alaska are receding further each year. Sub-tropical birds and animals are constantly extending their habitat northward. This trend would not seem so strange were it not for the fact that the world ought to be getting colder at the present time. The Babson Institute made a very extensive study of tree rings a few years back. They examined specimens from all over the world, including ancient structures and petrified wood. From these, they were able to reconstruct the weather record for the world for almost 2000 years back. They found that warm and cold weather came in several major and minor cycles, which by modifying each other, would produce still other cycles. By projecting these cycles, which have run true to form for 2000 years, the world should be well into a very cold period at the present time.
While most sensible observers now agree that the atomic bomb does have an effect on our weather, this effect seems to be a "short term" one, followed by a compensating reaction in the other direction. Our present warming trend is apparently due to some other external cause. This article does not attempt to arrive at any conclusions on this, or any of the other subjects introduced. It simply calls attention to the fact that many strange things seem to be happening, with the hope that other members may perhaps collect enough additional data to permit the postulation of some reasonable conclusions at a later date.
Concerning the northward shift of the warm zones and related matters, much data is to be found in Today's Revolution in Weather, W.J. Baxter ($1.00), and in the Lectures of Dr. John Eason (Monthly, $1.00). The M.P. Controls have asserted for years that there is an increase in cosmic ray radiation, seriously affecting our planet - and now say that the Sun is NOT diminishing in size and activity, but on the contrary is likely to flare into a super-Nova - an event which would probably destroy all planets within the solar system. Further events of even cosmic scope are involved in the "red shift", long known to astronomers and often referred to by the "Inner Circle" and in the BSR publications.
