11.4.    Vril & Electricity

The young Sir William Crookes studied the voluminous "Od Experiments" of Reichenbach with greatest fascination. He was especially fond of those investigations by which the Baron engaged vacuums and magnets or magnets a large crystals. When placed in bell jars and gradually evacuated, the Baron observed the greatly expanded luminescence of each. The Baron also described the long-lingering effects of electrostatic shock on wires. Though grounded and completely discharged, these wires continued to flimmer with a wonderful white flimmering glow for hours. Sir William designed very high vacuum globes, poising various kinds of materials within their interiors in order to observe these spontaneous luminous displays. He learned that materials, when exposed to electrostatic discharges, continued to discharge their luminosity for hours. Deactivating these, he watched as the glow of diamond, ruby, fluorite, and all the other minerals continued to flimmer and sparkle for hours after electrical exposure. For Sir William Crookes, the phenomenon of electro-luminescence was a means for magnifying the Od energy, formerly observed and described by Baron Karl von Reichenbach.

Electro-static discharge also revealed a remarkable group of phenomena when both vacuo and voltages were extremely high. At a certain point, Sir William could observe that the luminous discharge of the cathode dissipated from the cathode, leaving the black radiant space. It was in this black space that Crookes began realizing that a space suffusing entity was actually permeating the glass walls of his globes and pressing the discharge away from the bombardment source. It was in connection with this "black space" that he made extensive investigations. In this space he found a powerful momentum, capable of spinning radiometer vanes. No current was measured through the globes when this occurred, only a fixed high voltage. The inference was that this space suffusing entity was so rare that glass remained transparent to its presence. The mysterious space entity was motivated by electrical fields of intense strength, moving through the globes from space to cathode, cathode to anode, and anode to space again.

Observing the thready nature of discharges that flimmered through the globes among the electrodes, he initially imagined that this was a space suffusing gas. At first not recognizing the fixed and patternate articulation of these discharges, he postulated that they were the result of a type gas, an "aether" which filled all space. Sir William eventually recognized in the dark space far more than a gaseous entity. He also recognized that his attentions were powerfully drawn into the space because of a more noumenous presence. In this black radiant space Sir William perceived something of the nature of de-inertialized space, a region where pure consciousness freely flowed.

He continued these investigations along more spiritualistic lines of research, modifying the globes with concave mirrors and using [19] them to "scope space" for ghostly ectoplasms. In a number of wonderful portraits, he is shown holding various forms of this globular scrying device, peering into them at various angles.

Other researchers employed vacuum globes and connected them to ground directly. Using nothing more than a few variable capacitors, it was possible to receive eidetic currents of a powerfully magnified variety. These currents flowed through the globes, radiating from their free terminals. These came in sharp intermittent impulses, having specific duration. Tapping the eidetic contents of the Vril Matrix directly realizes long lost secrets of the archane technology. Finding continuity between the black radiant space of Crookes, and the spontaneous black radiant energy seen in nature, certain researchers have plunged into research on the fundamental nature of space and mind.

The true work and discoveries made by Nikola Tesla are yet not comprehended by those who claim to be radio engineers. One researcher alone stands paramount in the re-discovery of Tesla Technology. This work is based on findings made by Eric Dollard, a brilliant researcher, inventor, experimenter, and discoverer in his own right. What Mr. Dollard found in Tesla's patents and articles should have reported like cannon shots across the radio-engineering world. Reproducing the experimental arrangements precisely as Tesla prescribed, Mr. Dollard has discovered a true marvel in forgotten technology.

The mystery concerning Teslian Radio centers around a singular discovery that Tesla made purely by accident in the Christmas season of 1891, a discovery that forever changed the nature of his research. It occurred that while attempting the duplication of experiments performed by Hertz (1887), Tesla accidentally discovered how to produce ELECTRIC RAYS. Long associated with alternating current and alternating current devices, his complete rejection of these methods marked the change by which also his technology was later distinguished.

The distinct differences between Rays and Waves stimulated Tesla to recognize the long lost discovery of Joseph Henry, who first observed them when conducting experiments with Leyden Jar discharges (1842). Through a bizarre arrangement of circuit parameters, Henry found it possible to maqnetize steel needles several floors away from the apparatus. The duplication of these effects were accidentally arranged by Elihu Thomson in 1872.

Electric Rays had completely unexpected characteristics, being potent and piercing. Through them Tesla felt body shocks, though removed from his apparatus by several feet. He described the pressure effects of these rays in his conspicuously ignored paper of 1892 (Electrical Experimenter). In terms which most electrical engineers of the Victorian Epoch would understand, Tesla discovered the existence of what he termed "electrical soundwaves", or electro-static longitudinal waves. In the generation, radiation, and reception of these special rayic energies, we find all of Tesla's statements and claims conforming to a new and unsuspected reality. Tesla's vision enveloped a glorious reality, flooding over with promise and potential. The [20] expansions of his primary discovery would have ruled the technological world.

Tesla drew attention to the fact that these energetic emissions passed through metal shields with ease. These Rays were powerful, while Waves were weak. Tesla realized why Henry and Thomson had produced Electrical Rays and not Waves. He also understood why Hertz had only produced Electric Waves: the answer lay in the circuit parameters. Very strict relationships were required in the Ray-releasing process, relationships which few observed.

So great was his excitement over the find and its potential applications, he accepted the otherwise untimely invitation of the Royal Society within the same year. The energetic products of his Transformers were never duplicated by other designers. Even with regards to his smaller models, experimenters of the day failed to recognize the essential difference between magnetic induction and Tesla electro-static induction; the two are completely dissimilar processes, producing completely dissimilar results.

Tesla extended his discovery of the ray energy spectrum. Distinct from those of longitudinal light spectra, these light-forms represented an unknown energetic region. Identifying his rays as a form of "dark light", he developed new systems for their powerful projection. Every phenomenon which Tesla described differed so radically from those obtained by conventional methods.

Researchers who worked with electric waves never observed the Teslian phenomena. Tesla always drew allusion to the fact that these electric rays interacted with the natural environment in an uncharacteristic manner. They seemed to self-intensity with progressive distance, a feat deemed impossible in the academic account of world phenomena. Nevertheless, Tesla measured a strange consistency which his projected electric rays maintained when passing through space. Though aerial in their passage through the environment, these effects were in all ways similar to those observed when telegraphic signals were applied to the ground (V.2., V.8). Except we recognize what electrical applications and ground-injected signals stimulate a far more fundamental and non-electrical agency, we cannot comprehend or rationalize the numerous anomalies which appeared throughout communications history.

The discoveries which Tesla made in relation with aerial electric rays constitutes a new chapter in the realization that a COMMUNICATIONS MEDIUM suffuses experiential space. Tesla and others at first imagined that an ultra-gaseous atmosphere, the Aether, suffused space. Tesla imagined that the aetherial gas was the source of all the energetic rejuvenations in his electrical ray experiments. The supposed aether was also imagined capable of maintaining its momentum long after sufficient energetic impulse was delivered to it. Electrical rays were seen as a perfect means for achieving this interaction, one whose interactive strength was necessarily weak.

Nevertheless, researchers employed electrical fields and electrical stimulations in attempts to move the aether. Being a theoretical gas produced by stellar crucibles, it was then proposed that the aetherial atmosphere itself might be [21] an available pressure tank of immense power. When once properly directed, an electrically stimulated aether gas flow could continue mounting pressure strength until some enormous maximum was reached. At this point, such an aetheric pressure stream could become the working fluid or a frighteningly potent generator, an energy source of eternal and enormous output.

The fact that this medium was not a gas came through a series of experiments coinciding more or less exactly with the discovery of X-Rays. When we look into the textbooks, the all-too-numerous investigations of cathode rays and their ancillary phenomena each seem mutually unrelated. Considering the time that lies between ourselves and these experimenters, our contemporary assessments often lack the necessary conceptual integrity required to recognize each logical step.

The work performed with modified high vacuum discharge tubes revealed that cathode rays were possessed of a rayic nature, formerly equated only with light beams. The ability of cathode rays to preserve and project images of target objects stimulated considerable interest. While these cathode ray image shadows were observed entirely within the confines of the discharge tubes experimenters wished to discover such projections could be maintained outside the tube.

The light-like nature of cathode rays being in question, Tesla utilized the discharge tubes which Lenard perfected in 1894, tubes which projected cathode rays into the air through a thin aluminum window. In this research, Tesla was attempting to show that aether streams maintained the integrity of light, a feat otherwise impossible with elemental gases. Proposing, of course, that aetheric streams consisted of ultimately indivisible particles, an ultra-gas of incredible attributes, Tesla believed that these streams should maintain the integrity necessary for projecting whole images to greater distances without distortion. His aim was the development of television projection systems, utilizing the externalized cathode ray streams in an exact analogy to an ordinary magic lantern slide projector.

With his own specially modified breed of Lenard tubes, Tesla discovered that it was possible to project image shadows of external targets through many hundreds of feet. In addition, Tesla observed that these rays penetrated through matter. It was possible for him to inspect skeletal structures and material interiors through several hundred feet. The use of phosphorescent screens, developed for his television system, enabled Tesla to first publish his findings.

Tesla later modified this system to be used in long distance ranging and detection. Having discovered the means whereby these very special rays could be produced, Tesla found it possible to develop streams that could be reflected from metals. It is in this experimental description that we realize what Tesla meant when referring to his research on X-Rays, and, later, Cosmic Rays.

Tesla asserted that very special radiations are aetheric streams, the absorption of which produced progressively larger particulate sequences. These differed with target materials, becoming the dangerously massive varieties being reported in certain European research laboratories. When honors for discovery of X-Rays was [22] bestowed upon Roentgen, Tesla observed striking differences between his own findings and those reported by the so-called discoverer. His own shadowgraphs did not require targets at all, being released by targetless high vacuum tubes. Powered by his own high voltage impulse currents, Tesla found that such streams completely altered the state of metals externally distributed and distant from the tube.

Tesla was always an experimenter whose refined investigations permitted him a detailed understanding of natural phenomena. Whenever examining phenomena he explored every facet critical to the division of attributes which might harbor hidden conjugate energies, an aspect curiously absent in the process of modern researchers. The curious conjugate nature of his very special radiations with other anomalous energies became a singular feature with which he had become accustomed. Tesla found that he was able to duplicate the X-rays of Roentgen only by adding metal targets within his tubes. Increasing the target dimensions of surface area and thickness was matched only by varying the target metals. In this way, Tesla obtained a host of conventional X-Rays, the very first spectrum obtained in the study. This is why he forever maintained that his own radiant streams were "very special radiations".

Indeed they were. When the discussion of whether X-Rays could charge metals came into question, commercially refined X-Ray tubes could in no way charge metals. Attempts at polarizing these rays through externally applied electrical fields failed with the heavier X-Ray species. Nevertheless, Tesla reported that emanations from highly electrified tubes of equally high vacuum could sufficiently charge metals to the sparking point.

Tesla expected that ray-projected images could be directed into the eyes, seen through contact. His theory included the notion that the retina was an electrical terminal of great articulate detail. He thought that if the rays could be carefully chosen, they might reach the range of visible sight. Requiring special impulse frequencies as well as special tubes, Tesla engaged the search with enthusiasm. But the aetheric streams proceeding from these special tubes, contrary to his original supposition, did not convey images at all. In fact, they were found to have no such ability, producing only a grey and leaden sleep, a state not at all like that expected.

The later horror of reading Tesla's accounts concerning his exposure to such very special radiations, which he published in the academic journals of the day, has a curious aspect: Tesla describes the sensations produced by "looking into the tube", reporting an "internal racket" with "successive shocks in the eye", but no other ill effects from his rays. The effects of these very special radiations on Tesla seem not at all similar to those one would expect were they composed of ordinary X-Rays, being inconsistent with the great age that Tesla reached. While this practice is to be absolutely avoided, the tubes of Tesla were obviously also very special in their character.

[23]

In later years, Dr. Thomas H. Moray developed discharge tubes which had similar vitalizing properties. Although their secret remains well concealed, it has been reported that exposure to the flesh-permeating pink light results in vital states not unlike those associated with vitamin injections. The light actually appears right through the hand, and exhibits curative properties. It is not possible to achieve these results with ordinary discharges, a fact corroborated by both Tesla and Moray.

Deep insight being required to produce such radiant emissions, the ability of most experimenters of the century's turn did not succeed in duplicating Teslian "very special" radiances. These energetic emissions, most certainly having the attributes of light, were claimed to yield excessively clear images. A gaseous stream of aether would necessarily give better definition than ordinary light, being theoretically more refined than light. This was the working hypothesis on which Tesla based his original television system.

It was known that the retina could be rendered phosphorescent, a condition observed with the production of special ultraviolet apparatus. Tesla did not find in these very special radiations a means for conveying imagery directly into the retina. Working with the idea that such streams did cause phosphorescence in mineral-coated screens, it was difficult to imagine why a simple adjustment of the streams themselves would not effect a similar phosphorescence in the retinal surface directly. The streams caused a noticeable eradication of light and visual sense, not an intensification or increased resolution of imagery as he supposed. For a while, Tesla was baffled with the puzzle before him, but it was not in relationship with these energetic electrically stimulated streams that Tesla realized his most exceptional discovery in these regards.
